“This was a superb day hiking the gorge. My guide Japhet was on time, he looked after me the whole time and answered patiently all my questions about wildlife and local traditions. During the hike he encouraged me to make stops and hike at my own paste. Thereafter we had lunch at one of the nearby villages. I had shared with him that I was interested to learn more about the local culture so Japhet kindly introduced me to the village elders and the priest; we visited the church and a local farm :) I could not have asked for more and the whole experience was authentic and adventurous.
